Job Announcement: Swimming Supervisor
A rapidly growing swimming school, iSwim, is seeking a new swimming supervisor/instructor to join our team in Dublin.
Job Description: We are looking for an experienced swimming supervisor/instructor responsible for overseeing swimming lessons, training instructors, and conducting classes for children, teenagers, and adults. The person in this role will be a key member of our team, ensuring high-quality lessons and participant safety.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising swimming lessons conducted by instructors.
- Training and supporting swimming instructors in teaching methods and safety.
- Monitoring and assessing the quality of lessons.
- Managing class schedules and instructor timetables.
- Conducting swimming lessons in English.
- Teaching swimming to children aged 4 and above, teenagers, and adults.
- Maintaining accurate programme documentation and updating records on student progress
- Taking care of assigned equipment.
- Enforcing safety rules among participants.
- Providing both theoretical and practical knowledge to participants.
- Adhering to the pool’s regulations.
- Flexibility to work occasionally outside regular hours.
Requirements:
- Certified swimming instructor or second-class swimming coach.
- At least one year of experience as a swimming instructor.
- English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level.
- Ability to swim in 4 styles, including turns.
- Strong interpersonal skills with clients (especially with children).
- Responsible work approach.
- Availability and punctuality.
- Quick and effective decision-making.
- Ability to handle client objections and resistance.
- Pleasant appearance and high personal culture.
- Patience.
- Clean criminal record
- Office work experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Desirable Skills:
- Lifeguard certification.
- Experience and qualifications for working with children with disabilities.
- Category B driving licence.
- First aid course

- Guaranteed base salary: €32,000 - €35,000, depending on experience.
